App README

Software Development Agent

Describe a software feature and let an engineering manager coordinate two system architects and up to four frontend/backend developers. The architects create system designs and delegate scoped implementation work. Assigned developers can generate separate code drafts; a senior reviewer checks only those drafts, routes requested fixes back to their owners, and reviews the revisions.

Configure the Space

In the Space, open Settings → Variables and secrets and add these as Secrets:

  • —GOOGLE_API_KEY
  • —GROQ_API_KEY

Never commit API keys or put them in this README. The app makes live model-provider calls; hosting may be free, but Google and Groq usage can incur charges. The free Space may pause while idle.

Deploy

Create a new Gradio Space on Hugging Face, then upload the files in this directory (app.py, team.py, requirements.txt, and README.md) to the Space repository. Add the two secrets above and let the Space build. The Space should show Running when deployment completes.

For command-line deployment, install the Hugging Face CLI and authenticate in your own terminal with hf auth login, then clone the new Space repository, copy these four files into it, and push the commit. Type your Hugging Face token directly into the CLI prompt; do not paste it into source files or chat.

Run Locally

From the repository root, with the project's dependencies installed:

powershell
uv run python 2_openai/software_development_team_space/app.py

Open the local Gradio URL printed in the terminal. The root .env file can provide GOOGLE_API_KEY and GROQ_API_KEY for local testing.
