🚴 VéloPress — Cycling News Agent

An AI-powered agent that fetches live cycling news from Sporza, loads full article content, and helps you understand it — in any language.

What it does

  • —Fetches the latest cycling news headlines and translates them into your preferred language
  • —Loads the full text of any article you choose
  • —Lets you summarize, translate, or ask specific questions about the article
  • —Understands intent in any language, including typos and informal phrasing

How to use

  1. 1.Enter your OpenAI API key in the sidebar and click Apply
  2. 2.Tell the agent your preferred language
  3. 3.Pick an article from the headlines
  4. 4.Ask for a summary, translation, or ask any question about the article

Architecture

Built as a tool-calling agent using GPT-4.1-mini as the orchestrator. The agent decides which tool to invoke based on user intent:

  • —get_latest_cycling_news — scrapes and translates headlines from Sporza
  • —get_article_text — loads the full article text
  • —summarize_article — generates a concise summary
  • —translate_article — translates the full article
  • —answer_question — answers specific questions grounded in the article content
