jeff-guard-multilang
A tiny, fast prompt-injection guard: a 10.5M-parameter LoRA on Jeff-Qwen3.5-0.8B (System One decision model). It screens any text your AI agent is about to read - a user task, a tool result, an email, a document - and answers in one forward pass (~20 ms on an RTX 4090), with calibrated probabilities and no generated text:
- `attack` (yes/no): is this text trying to take control of the model (override instructions, drop safety rules, leak data)?
- `kind`: benign / directinjection / indirectinjection / jailbreak / exfiltration.
Trained on a custom 103K-row corpus in 12 languages with a dedicated slice for agentic / indirect injections (InjecAgent, BIPIA, LLMail-Inject) - attacks hidden in tool outputs and documents, the primary threat when routing tasks to AI agents. The corpus is published separately: RomanKudriavskii/jeff-guard-multilang-dataset.

Usage
The adapter runs on the Jeff server (v1.2 base required; the server verifies the base checksum):

Training
- Recipe: firelex/jeff
jeff-train(AutoJev lineage): cross-entropy over option letters + fitted temperature. - LoRA r=16, alpha=32, dropout=0, all projection targets incl. Gated DeltaNet projections; 10 484 736 trainable params.
- Data: 165K decision rows (noul
attack+ choicekindper corpus row); split by source family (leave-one-source-out); selected step 320/645. - Hardware: single RTX 4090, ~7 h.
Limitations
- Overtriggering on hard negatives (NotInject FPR 0.23): benign prompts containing trigger words ("ignore", "uncensored") may be flagged. Tune the threshold per workload; a v4 iteration is planned.
- Mosscap-style injections are out of corpus (recall 0.59).
- Test metrics may be an upper bound (near-duplicate analysis documented in the project repo).
- State texts longer than ~2K tokens are truncated in training/eval setups; check long documents in parts.
- Use as a first filter alongside other defenses (tool scoping, sandboxing), not as a complete solution.
